Don’t Be There When The Tide Is High. Tourists Trapped Under Cliff For Four Hours.

Two Russians found themselves trapped under the cliffs at Ceningan Island, Lembongan at around 10:55am on Thursday (16/6) . 

The two tourists were jumping off the cliff at the Blue Lagoon Beach when the tide suddenly came rushing in. They couldn't climb back up the cliff, so they decided to go to the side to find safe ground while waiting for the water to recede.  

Both of them stayed under the cliff until the water began to go down at around 3:00pm, they were then able to climb through the KLYF Blue Lagoon restaurant route.  

The Head of the Nusa Penida Police, Kompol I Gede Redastra, confirmed that the tourists are in good condition with no injuries.
